Sound alike for this hiragana
instead of putting "Listen to the sound", why not put [as in RAw]? I mean it fits the sound that this hiragana is suppose to make. Just a suggestion. I got quite confused about it so i just made my own sound.

"Raw" isn't an accurate sound. It doesn't really have the L (or a bit of D) in, like the japanese R. The Japanese R is more like a Spanish R, or the letter L (but not really). There are no words with similar sounds in the English language.

ive got a technique where i raise my tongue up to the ceiling of my mouth just like saying an english 'r' but when i say the 'r' i move my tongue back toward my throat instead of near my front teeth. I am sure that gave me a more accurate sound.!
