If you only have the internet as a source, it might be hard to learn to speak first, since you'll have nobody to speak Japanese with. Definitely learn to read the kana first and then learn some basic vocabulary to start with. Have fun!

Japanese characters do not work that way!
That's just the way the language works. It was made a long time ago and there's no changing it now.
Besides, ん(n) doesn't work that way. It only -FOLLOWS- characters, it doesn't precede them.
pya, pyu, and pyo
i think these are wrong since in the graph, the bottom one is exactly identical to the top...doesnt that makes it confusing? Or is there something that was unmentioned that might have been important? Help please Clay =/
ぴゃ、ぴゅ、ぴょ
ぴゃ、ぴゅ、ぴょ have a mark like a circle to the upper right. びゃ、びゅ、びょ have marks like mini-quotation marks. At first glance they may look exactly identical, but they're different. You'll get used to spotting the difference. Also the text size makes it even harder to differentiate.

oh i see..thank you clay. at a closer look they do look different. one is straight and the other is slanted. i'll try to remember which one is which. thanks for the help :]
Regarding Nya, Nyu, and Nyo
Woudn't you just write them, んや、んゆ、んよ instead of the combination letters?
No, they've got completely
No, they've got completely different sounds. And ん only follows, never placed before.
EDIT: Alphonse beat me to the punch at the top. I didn't notice.
