It's been forever!
Posting in here, well, I never was one for blogging. I prefer a regular book-type journal to write all those lavicious secrets in! :D Anyway, the leaves in the yard are almost completely down, no more geese are flying overhead, and overnight temperatures have dropped into the 30's (deg. F) finally!
Once the temperatures are in the 30's during the day as well (usually around Thanksgiving (3rd Thursday in Nov. in America)) I can start baking my Christmas cookies and storing them in my attic! :) Nothing beats suprise cookie-jars FULL of cookies straight down from the attic! :)
Christmas cookies I have plans to bake: Chocolate chip, sugar, gingersnap, candy-cane, russian teacake (also called mexican wedding cake), thumbprint, sandies, pinwheels (if I have time and inclination). And probably a couple more I'll find in my cookbook at some point. Needless to say, there will probably be several batches of raisin bread thrown in there at some point too, so I expect to be elbow-deep in flour for oh, the next month or so! :)
Happy Baking!!!

I only wish I could!
Send digital cookies that are as good as the real thing! I just made a batch of Pumpkin-Spice cookies earlier this week because we cooked up our huge pumpkin and wound up with 16 cups of pumpkin puree! :)
My waistline says that they're too good and I ought to share! :)

Welcome back! Will you bake
Welcome back! Will you bake some cookies for us? Too bad virtual cookies don't taste as good as the real variety.
