Japanese: 僕の妻は店で一番いカバンを買ってしまった。
Romaji: boku no tsuma wa mise de ichiban takai kaban o katte shimatta.
English: My wife bought the most expensive purse in the store! (shimatta implies it is unfortunate)

Japanese: 彼は価な材料をふんだんに使って家を建てた。
Romaji: kare wa kouka na zairyou wo fundan ni tsukatte uchi wo tateta.
Literal: him as-for high-price materials lavishly-using house built.
English: He was lavish in the use of expensive materials in building his house.
