Genki I
I burrowed my friend's copy of this book (the whole series is used for all the Japanese classes at my college), and I love it. It seems so easy to understand and learn from. A friend of mine suggested to buy this book and use it for practice during the summer.

I really like this series. It really helps you go through each lesson and it's great with the work book and CD! This is the only book I have and I learn so fast with it! It's very structured but you can go at whatever pace you like.
