Submitted by Anonymous on Mon, 03/24/2008 - 7:52pm.I hate to do this but after a full day of troubleshooting I think this is the only way to fix everything.
As you may know, non-members are able to view and edit posts in a few groups. (just log out and look at this page) I had 'fixed' the problem a few days ago, but in doing the 'fix' I messed up something even bigger. So I unfixed my fix and changed a few settings.
Basically what it boils down to is the groups I created when I first installed Drupal (Design Group, JLPT 1, JLPT 2, JLPT 3, JLPT 4) have a little bug that can't be fixed through the admin settings.

Or maybe more like this?

heh... this all really would be easier with a unified theme. ;)

How about something like this?
Submitted by phreadom on Sun, 03/23/2008 - 10:37pm.I have a few critiques of it already...
1) It doesn't use a "brandable" logo... like the bonsai or the old color TJP logo.
2) It could be better blended with the rest of the site color-wise I think.
A few other things possibly...
Opinions?

I'd like to work on it, but need some opinions first.
Submitted by phreadom on Sat, 03/15/2008 - 12:19pm.These are an example of some of the banners I've done for the new website I'm working on, to give you an idea of my level of design ability.
I have some questions that I would like some help with; Is the bonsai tree logo an official one? Is there a higher resolution copy of it available etc? Is the font not open for changes?
I'd like to have a crack at doing a new header design for the site, but I'd like some feedback from you guys/gals first. :)
(I might just have a crack at it anyway... but I figure it doesn't hurt to get some feedback first before I get too carried away. Thanks!)
My Attempts
Submitted by kayuu on Sun, 02/24/2008 - 7:44am.I added texture (the stripey line thingies) to the headers because I thought they looked a bit plain without it, but can be removed. Also, text can be edited/added etc.
I got the 'Japan' map (on the right hand side) from Wikipedia, and it shows the countries on a globe so it looks a bit skewed but I thought it was alright.
Enjoy.

Submitted by sei on Thu, 02/21/2008 - 3:56pm.So this is another picture I found and liked. I think if the Cherry Blossom could be separated from the rest of the picture it would look great. Or just use it has a model to create another picture.
Anyway, here it is.
PS: I had to reduce the image for it to let me post it so I hope the quality is still good enough.

Submitted by sei on Thu, 02/21/2008 - 3:36pm.So I went searching for a few images on Cherry Blossoms and I found this one. I just love it. The Castle is a very Japanese Symbol isn't it? And it could symbolize the "empire" TJP has already become. With this new site even more with the blogs and groups that'll make more ways of communicating with other members and probably attract even more people.
