追放 Exile, Banishment

追放 (ついほう)

exile; banishment

追放
tsui hou
banishment

追 tsui chase, run after, follow
放 hou separate, let go

放送 hou sou - broadcast (TV, radio) [B]
食べ放題 tabe hou dai - all you can eat, buffet [I]
追いかける oi kakeru - chase after [I]

It's as good as any other reason.

SUGGESTED USAGE:

(ぼく)追放(ついほう)されたので、来日(らいにち)しました。

boku wa tsuihou sareta node, rainichi shimashita.
I was banished so I came to Japan.

  • 僕 boku - I [used by men; the kanji actually means servant (shimobe)]
  • された sareta - the passive voice meaning I received... or I was...
  • ので node - because
  • 来日 rai nichi - come to Japan [Japan 日本 is often shortened to 日]
