JLPT N5 Grammar: V+たい ~tai


 ABOUT: 

■  Want to… Adding this to the ます form of verbs adds the meaning of wanting to do that.

HOW to use:

■ Drop the ます and add たい. You can add です for politeness.

EXAMPLES:

いつか、日本(にほん)()たいです。

Someday, I'd like to go to Japan.
[()きます to go | ()きたい to want to go]

Vocabulary

今晩(こんばん)、ピザが()たいです。

Tonight, I want to eat pizza.
[()べます to eat | ()べたい to want to eat]
