Japanese Beginner's Conversation - Say Again?

Three useful phrases when the meaning is unclear during a Japanese conversation.

もっとゆっくり話してください。
motto yukkuri hanashite kudasai
Please speak a little slower.

もう一回話してください。
mou ikkai hanashite kudasai
Please say that again.

分かりません。
wakarimasen.
I don't understand.

08:32:23 M Utley ummm k I have a question... When asking would you like something to eat would Nani tabetai desu ka? Be incorrect... the lesson i just used says Nanika tabetai desu ka?

15:36:04 gabi in japan M Utley - Nani (o) tabetai desu ka? would mean What do you want to eat? But Nanika Tabetai desu ka? means Do you want something to eat? The difference in meaning is slight, but it's there!
