JLPT N5 Grammar: N+がほしい ~ga hoshii

 ABOUT:

■  ほしい is one of those words that takes a が particle after a word that is usually not the subject. What you want is the object. I want a cat. The "cat" is the object—what is being wanted by the topic/subject "I."

HOW to use:

■ Say the object the subject wants and then add がほしい. You can add です for politeness.

EXAMPLES:

(あたら)しい(くるま)ほしいです。
I want a new car.
[new | car | want]

秋田犬(あきたいぬ)ほしいです。
I want an Akita dog.
[Akita | dog | want]
