今日は、 たくさん の しゅくだい が 出ました。日本語 で てがみ を 書いて ください と いわれました。日本 の 友だち に 書きました。 それから 日本語 の あたらしい ことば を おぼえました。 かんじ も すこし おぼえました。
Grammar Notes:
■ Add ください after the て form of verbs to make a polite request:
- 食べて ください (please eat) [from 食べる (to eat)]
- べんきょう して ください (please study) [from 勉強する (to study)]

Answers:
1) A – He had to write a letter in Japanese.
2) B – His Japanese friend.
