COMMENTS

Typically, with nouns, お is used with Chinese-origin words and ご is used with Japanese-origin words:

  • ご結婚(けっこん) marriage (Chinese origin)
  • ご本(ほん) book (Chinese origin)
  • お肉(にく) meat (Japanese)
  • おはし chopsticks (Japanese)

■  This is a polite way to ask someone to do something. On use with nouns that imply action (する nouns).
