Note: To access your files, please click on "Subscriptions" tab to find your membership link (the blue text under the "Membership" column). Or if you are a Samurai member, click here. Shogun members, please click here.
How to Upgrade or Downgrade Membership
If you have an active subscription, you should see your membership information on the Subscriptions page. You can easily change your membership level by clicking the "Change Plan" link.
A popup will give you all available options. If you are currently Samurai, you can change it to our premium level Shogun. Or vice versa.
You will pay a prorated amount for the current month and the normal rate thereafter.

Our entry level membership, Makoto+ Samurai, includes the latest Makoto and a few other benefits. Shogun is everything we have to offer. It includes everything in Samurai plus unlimited web access to most of our eBooks and all Makoto back issues.

What is Makoto?
Makoto - a monthly e-zine for beginner to intermediate learners of Japanese. It is a digital magazine with all the good stuff not usually found in textbooks. It has articles on Japanese grammar, kanji, culture, and art. Each issue will also include a complete short story with a running gloss, grammar explanations, and two MP3s of the story (normal speed and slower).
