noun | ひろう

MEANING: fatigue; weariness

EXAMPLE SENTENCE:

疲労がたまっていると、かえって眠れない。

ひろうがたまっていると、かえってねむれない。
When I am exhausted, contrary to expectations, I can’t sleep.

 

NOTES:

かえって is used when something happens outside of expectations

VOCABULARY:

疲労 【ひろう】 fatigue; weariness
たまっている　gathering; collecting; piling up
と if; when; and
かえって on the contrary; rather; instead

眠れない 【ねむれない】 not sleepy
